Do I need to bring identification?
Yes, all persons must have U.S. government-issued identification (driver's license, passport or California ID card) to enter event pavilions or ship tours. Those who plan to take a ship tour must have their ID to board – NO EXCEPTIONS! IDs are not required for children under 18 years of age when accompanied by an adult.
What items are NOT permitted at the event?
The following items are not permitted into the event fooprint:
NO LARGE BAGS of any kind, including oversized purses, backpacks, diaper bags or camera bags
NO WEAPONS of any kind
NO FOOD, DRINKS, COOLERS or ICE CHESTS. Exception: A maximum of two (2) unopened/sealed bottles of water per person will be allowed into the event footprint. Beverages are NOT permitted on any active duty military vessel.
NO PETS with the exception of seeing eye dogs.
NO FIREWORKS, EXPLOSIVES or FLAMMABLE LIQUIDS
NO SKATEBOARDS, ROLLER BLADES or BICYCLES
NO GANG-RELATED, VIOLENT, OBSCENE, EXPLICIT or SUGGESTIVE CLOTHING, or CLOTHING THAT PROMOTES TERRORISM, ACTS OF VIOLENCE or SUBJUGATION OF A PERSON or PERSONS
NO ILLEGAL DRUGS or PARAPHERNALIA

Any tips on what to wear?
We highly recommend closed-toe shoes—no sandals or flip flops—on ship tours, as these are active military ships. Our footprint is very large and you can expect to be doing a lot of walking. Be sure and wear sunscreen and hats too!
If the weather is hot, how should I prepare for the heat?
Water stations at multiple points throughout the area
Two first aid stations, one inside the Main Expo Hall and one in the outdoor footprint
Shade and tents throughout the area
The Main Expo Hall with exhibits and ships tour lines is AIR CONDITIONED
The American Red Cross Los Angeles/Long Beach and the Los Angeles Fire Department will be on site and available to assist as needed.
Will there be security screenings at the event?
All persons entering the event will be subject to airport-style security screening, which includes metal detectors and bag search.

How do I get tickets to LA Fleet Week?
Tickets are not required for any of the public events at LA Fleet Week. Entrance to our main event footprint is free!
How do I support LA Fleet Week to ensure that all public events remain free?

I would like to bring a group to LA Fleet Week, do I need any special authorization or approval?
No prior authorization is required to bring groups to LA Fleet Week. We encourage groups to attend on Friday, August 30th to avoid the crowds and large lines. If you have a large group attending (over 30 people), please email email@example.com with “large group” in the subject line.
When will the schedule be updated?
We generally update the schedule with additional details as we get closer to LA Fleet Week, around July 15th, and continue through opening day. Information about participating ships, military units, aerial demonstrations, sports and culinary competitions, and entertainers is posted as soon as we are able to release it. Where is the event located?
LA Fleet Week is located on the LA Waterfront at the Port of Los Angeles in the community of San Pedro, CA. The main event footprint is located next to the Battleship IOWA Museum. For driving directions use 100 Swinford Street, San Pedro, CA 90731 OR 250 S. Harbor Blvd, San Pedro, CA 90731.
Do I need to make a reservation to tour an active duty ship?
No reservations needed! Ship tours are free and are offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Please wear closed-toed shoes. For your safety, flip flops and high-heeled shoes are strongly discouraged.
Am I required to wear a mask?
In accordance with current Los Angeles County Health Department and U.S. Navy COVID-19 guidelines, masks will be required in all indoor areas and on board active duty military vessels.
Are there any restrictions on the ship tours?
Yes, there are several restrictions that should be noted:
Visitors must be at least five years of age to tour vessels.
No strollers are permitted on the ship.
There is no disabled access on vessels: guests must be physically able to walk through tight spaces and up/down steep ladders – an equivalency experience will be offered if desired.
There are no public restrooms on vessels; restrooms are located on the dock.
Where can I buy ship tour tickets, and how much do they cost?
Ship tours are FREE and no advance reservations are necessary. Walk-up visitors are able to take tours on a first-come, first-served basis. Ship tours begin at 10:00 am and typically run through 4:30 pm.

The ships will be located at the Los Angeles Cruise Terminal, located at 100 Swinford Street in San Pedro, just off Harbor Blvd.
Is the Battleship IOWA tour also free?
Will you have special active duty ship tours for veterans?
Yes, Friday September 3rd is specially dedicated to those who have served in our armed forces. However, veterans are welcome to tour active ships throughout the weekend. Reservations are not required. Visitors will be permitted on a first-come, first-served basis.

Unfortunately you will not be able to, primarily due to a variety of capacity available per ship.
Are the concerts open to the public at no-cost?
Yes, all concerts are open to the public for no-cost on a first come, first served basis. Concerts are planned for daytime hours, Friday through Monday. How do I get concert tickets?

Will you be clearing out the footprint of people prior to re-entry for the concert this year?
No, we will not be clearing out the footprint prior to entry in 2021. Come out and hang out all day!
Will there be seating for those with physical challenges?
Yes, we will have more seating in 2021 than prior years.
Will there be "live" entertainment throughout the weekend?
Yes. All entertainment will take place during our 2021 event hours, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm.

Yes! We will have a variety of food trucks and food vendors throughout the footprint, and multiple bars to enjoy non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks all day!

How do I exhibit?
